Role overview
BNY is hiring a Java Full Stack Engineer with AI-driven development exposure for its Conventional Trust Platform.
The role is located in Manchester and focuses on enterprise technology strategy, modernization, and complex platform delivery.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise Java full stack technology strategy.
- Champion AI-assisted coding, automated testing, remediation, and code quality practices.
- Drive cloud migration, microservices, event-driven architecture, and API-led platform modernization.
- Establish secure, scalable, and resilient application design practices.
- Oversee backend and frontend delivery using Java and frontend technologies.
- Lead large-scale programs and drive backlog prioritization, technical debt reduction, and vulnerability remediation.
Requirements
- Senior full stack engineering experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong Java experience with multithreaded and mission-critical applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, machine learning frameworks, and LLM or GenAI tooling.
- Strong hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Claude CLI and Windsurf.
- Strong knowledge of frontend technologies such as React and Angular.
