Role Overview
Version 1 is seeking a Java Engineer for its UK Digital Data and Cloud Practice.
The engineer will support a high-profile financial services trading client in a high-volume Java message processing environment.
The client ecosystem uses Kafka, Kubernetes or OpenShift, caching solutions, REST APIs, and high-throughput distributed systems.
Technical Delivery
- Design, develop, and maintain backend Java components focused on performance and resilience.
- Contribute features across messaging, caching, and distributed processing layers.
- Troubleshoot sequencing, recovery, message failure, and large-volume processing issues.
- Support releases, deployments, and production stability activities.
- Follow CI/CD pipelines, code quality standards, and operational readiness requirements.
- Apply performance, security, and resilience practices around message handling.
