Java AWS Software Engineer III

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver software solutions across multiple technical areas.
• Create secure production code and maintain algorithms that operate with related systems.
• Use authorized AI coding tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, and productivity improvements.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
• Analyze large datasets and use findings to improve software applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.

Required Qualifications

• Formal software engineering training or certification and 3+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, database querying, Kafka, event-driven APIs, and production systems at scale.
• Hands-on AWS development experience with services including ECS, VPC, S3, IAM, Lambda, Route53, NLB, ALB, and API Gateway.
• Experience with authorized AI-assisted development tools and critical validation of their outputs.
