Overview

• **IT Systems Manager (Qatar)**
• **Doha, Qatar**
• **Salary: Up to 40K per month - All Inclusive - basic salary, housing, transportation and flight allowance; plus health insurance coverage for employee and family (spouse + x3 children)**

The Opportunity

• We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Manager to lead the performance, reliability and evolution of large-scale traffic control and monitoring systems across thousands of kilometres of roads and tunnels.
• This role is critical to ensuring operational excellence across regional traffic control centres, identifying system requirements and improvements and enforcing best practices
• Role and Responsibilities:
• Manage subcontractors ensuring system uptime and SLA performance
• Design and implement scalable system architectures and roadmaps
• Drive system monitoring, performance optimisation and reliability
• Lead incident management and root cause analysis
• Enforce best practices in system design, documentation and operations
• Improve efficiency through automation, tooling and scripting

Skills And Experience

• Prior experience working in SCADA/real-time engineering environments
• Exposure to Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) would be beneficial
• Strong knowledge of networking, security and system architecture
• Experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
• Proficiency in monitoring tools and incident response platforms
• Hands-on with automation/scripting (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Strong database skills (SQL & NoSQL, performance tuning)
• Familiarity with ITIL or similar frameworks
