Role Description
- The IT Support Officer is a part time role based in Dubai with a hybrid work arrangement, combining onsite support with some work from home flexibility.
- Provides day to day technical support for staff, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues on desktop computers and related devices.
- Responsibilities include handling helpdesk queries, troubleshooting network connectivity problems, maintaining printer functionality, and ensuring that all systems are operating efficiently.
- The role also involves documenting support requests, escalating complex issues when necessary, and contributing to continuous improvement of IT processes and user experience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Technical Support and Troubleshooting, with the ability to resolve common user and system issues efficiently.
- Foundational knowledge of Information Technology concepts, including operating systems, basic networking, and security best practices.
- Hands on experience supporting Desktop Computers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Practical Printer Support skills, covering setup, connectivity, and routine troubleshooting for office printers and related devices.
- Strong customer service orientation, clear communication skills, and the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple support requests, and prioritize tasks in a part time hybrid environment.
- Previous experience in an IT helpdesk or support role is preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation) are an advantage.
- Eligibility to work in Dubai and flexibility to attend onsite support as required.
