Role Description
- The IT Support Officer is a full time remote role responsible for providing day to day technical support to internal users and project teams.
- This includes responding to service requests, diagnosing hardware and software issues, and ensuring reliable operation of desktop computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
- The role involves installing and configuring systems, managing user accounts, performing routine maintenance, and escalating complex issues to senior IT resources or vendors.
- The IT Support Officer will document support activities, maintain knowledge bases, and contribute to continuous improvement of IT processes to support Katilyst Co.’s HVAC and mechanical operations.
- Collaboration with cross functional teams and clear communication with non technical stakeholders are key aspects of this position.
Qualifications
- Strong Technical Support skills, including user assistance, incident resolution, and helpdesk ticket management.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Information Technology fundamentals, covering operating systems, networks, and common business applications.
- Hands on experience with Desktop Computers, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and basic security practices.
- Practical Printer Support skills, such as setup, connectivity, driver installation, and routine maintenance.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and meet service level expectations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with technical and non technical team members.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote support tools, and basic cybersecurity best practices.
- Relevant certification or education (e.g., CompTIA A+, IT related degree or coursework) is preferred.
