About the Role

  • We’re looking for a motivated and customer focused IT Support Officer to join our growing IT team.
  • In this role, you'll provide first line technical support to employees, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and help ensure the smooth operation of the organization's IT systems.
  • You'll work closely with internal teams to resolve technical problems and deliver excellent user support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first line technical support via phone, email, and ticketing systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and network related issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Create and manage user accounts, passwords, and system access permissions
  • Assist with Microsoft 365, email, and remote support services
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when necessary
  • Document support requests, resolutions, and technical procedures accurately
  • Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and software installations
  • Ensure timely resolution of IT issues while delivering excellent customer service

What We're Looking For

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and computer hardware
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi Fi, and VPN
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, ticketing systems, and remote support tools is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)
  • Previous experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support is preferred
  • Entry level candidates with relevant internships or academic projects are encouraged to apply
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, ITIL, or Cisco are an advantage
