Role Description

  • We are seeking an IT Support Engineer to provide technical support and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the reliable operation of hardware, software, networks, and end user systems.
  • This role is responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, supporting users, maintaining IT assets, and delivering efficient technology solutions that enable business continuity and operational productivity.
  • The successful candidate will serve as a primary point of contact for technical support, assisting employees with hardware, software, network connectivity, operating systems, and business applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to service requests, troubleshooting desktop and laptop issues, supporting printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Installing and upgrading software, configuring operating systems, and maintaining endpoint security.
  • Assisting with user onboarding and offboarding, account provisioning, password management, access permissions, and asset inventory management.
  • Monitoring IT systems, supporting local area networks (LAN), wireless networks, VPN connectivity, and cloud based services.
  • Collaborating with infrastructure, cybersecurity, software development, and external vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Documenting support activities, updating knowledge base, and adhering to service management processes.
  • Contributing to preventive maintenance, system upgrades, backup verification, and technology standardization initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, software installation, and system troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID), Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and related productivity platforms.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN, WAN, Wi Fi, routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM), help desk ticketing systems, and incident management processes.
  • Knowledge of endpoint management, device configuration, software deployment, patch management, and IT asset management.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, endpoint protection, identity and access management, multi factor authentication, and security best practices.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting desktop computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple support requests.
