Role Overview
The employer is seeking a versatile IT Support Engineer to manage its IT infrastructure and digital presence.
The role includes networking, systems administration, ERP and CCTV support, Microsoft environments, IT procurement, website maintenance, SEO, and social media.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3–5 years of proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proven UAE experience, including local IT asset purchasing, is required.
- Strong networking knowledge covering routers, switches, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience supporting ERP systems, SQL databases, and CCTV or GPS systems.
- Basic HTML, CSS, and WordPress knowledge for website changes.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, customer service, independent working, and prioritization abilities.
Infrastructure and Network Management
- Maintain and troubleshoot local networks, routers, switches, servers, and network devices.
- Monitor network performance, ensure high availability, and implement security measures.
- Manage Windows Servers, Active Directory, and user accounts.
Systems and Applications Support
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for the ERP system and CCTV cameras.
- Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Support GPS tracking systems and other company-specific hardware.
- Manage SQL databases.
Procurement and Assets
- Handle UAE IT asset purchasing, including sourcing, vendor negotiation, and procurement.
- Maintain accurate records for hardware, software licenses, and equipment.
Web and Social Media
- Perform basic website maintenance and updates.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve online visibility.
- Manage and update company social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified, or CCNA certifications are advantageous.
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices is preferred.
- A valid UAE driving license and willingness to travel to different sites are preferred.
- Experience in digital marketing or social media management is preferred.
