Role Overview
Bruker India is seeking an IT Service Engineer based in Mumbai.
The role provides technical support to end users, troubleshoots software and hardware issues, and configures and deploys new hardware and software systems.
This is a two-year contract subject to renewal.
Responsibilities
- Operate the daily IT service desk through email and an online ticketing system.
- Monitor, track, dispatch, and escalate incidents and service requests until resolution.
- Install and deliver desktops, laptops, monitors, phones, printers, and mobile devices.
- Maintain PC patching and virus protection status.
- Manage telecommunications and cabling systems with external vendors and monitor service levels.
- Prepare for disaster recovery and unscheduled shutdown drills.
- Prepare management reports and perform IT-related ad hoc tasks.
- Travel up to 20% in Asia Pacific.
Qualifications
- Minimum diploma level, preferably in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
- ITIL Foundation certification is highly preferred.
- Some working knowledge in an IT support organization.
- Preferably 1-3 years of related work experience.
