Role Purpose
Establish, manage, and develop the overall IT function for Meranti Green Steel Oman.
Lead infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, applications, and digital solutions for business operations, project development, and future plant operations.
Serve as the primary IT lead for the Oman business and coordinate with corporate teams, providers, and stakeholders.
IT Strategy and Governance
- Develop the IT roadmap and technology strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Establish IT policies, procedures, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage annual IT budgets and expenditure plans.
Infrastructure and Cybersecurity
- Establish and maintain IT infrastructure for the Oman office and future operational sites.
- Manage networks, connectivity, servers, cloud services, storage, communications, assets, licensing, and hardware lifecycles.
- Implement cybersecurity controls and manage risks, vulnerabilities, incident response, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Lead cybersecurity awareness initiatives.
Business Systems and Projects
- Manage ERP, HR, finance, procurement, document management, collaboration, and other enterprise applications.
- Identify process improvement and digitalization opportunities and ensure system integrations and data integrity.
- Support technology requirements during project development and future plant-operations planning.
- Coordinate technology delivery with engineering, operations, procurement, and corporate teams.
Service Delivery and Vendors
- Establish IT support services for employees and contractors and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Develop IT service management processes and performance metrics.
- Manage vendors, consultants, service providers, telecommunications companies, contracts, and service levels.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Build and develop the IT function as the organization grows.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage IT personnel and external support resources.
- Support group-wide technology initiatives, digital transformation, standardization, and management reporting.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience managing IT functions in industrial, manufacturing, construction, energy, or large-scale project environments.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and network administration.
- Experience managing vendors, budgets, contracts, and technology projects.
- ERP and enterprise business application knowledge is preferred.
- Experience in multinational, start-up, or greenfield project environments is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of IT experience, including 5 years in management or leadership.
