IT Engineer – Infrastructure, Cloud & Software Development

Job Description

Infrastructure and Cloud

• Manage on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure across Azure and GCP.
• Provision, secure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and virtual machines.
• Monitor server performance, availability, storage, system health, and cloud costs.
• Manage users, access permissions, security policies, and system configurations.
• Support Azure workloads, virtual machines, storage, networking, security controls, and cloud migration initiatives.

Databases and Recovery

• Install, configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Manage databases, users, permissions, backups, maintenance jobs, availability, integrity, and security.
• Manage backup systems, verify backup integrity, perform recovery tests, and maintain disaster recovery procedures.
• Support recovery of servers, databases, applications, and files and recommend improvements for potential failure points.

Software Development and Hosting

• Develop and maintain internal business applications and APIs using C# and .NET or .NET Core.
• Work with ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, SQL Server, application architecture, database design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Develop automation tools and internal utilities and support integrations with third-party services.
• Deploy and maintain web applications and manage IIS, SSL certificates, domains, application pools, and release pipelines.

Networking and Technical Support

• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, internet connectivity, VPN, DNS, DHCP, server, endpoint, application, and infrastructure issues.
• Implement security controls across servers, endpoints, databases, applications, and cloud resources.
• Provide technical support for computers, laptops, monitors, printers, peripherals, and business applications.
• Establish self-service processes, document recurring issues, and create knowledge-base guides.

Automation and Vendors

• Automate repetitive IT tasks using C#/.NET, PowerShell, APIs, or other appropriate technologies.
• Improve operational efficiency through automation, reporting, monitoring, user administration, and self-service solutions.
• Coordinate external IT vendors, maintain asset and license records, and manage hardware repairs and warranty issues.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in IT infrastructure and system administration.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Practical experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.
• Strong programming experience in C# and .NET or .NET Core.
• Experience developing REST APIs and web applications.
• Good understanding of Windows Server, IIS, and networking fundamentals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical responsibilities.

Preferred Skills

• Azure certifications such as AZ-104 or AZ-204 are good to have.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, containerization, PowerShell, Git/GitHub, cybersecurity, monitoring, logging, automation, cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-code, or high-availability environments is good to have.
