Role Overview
Lödige Systems Middle East is hiring an IT Engineer for the Material Handling System project supporting Etihad Airport Services Cargo at Zayed International Airport, Abu Dhabi.
The role supports IT infrastructure and application operations through pre-commissioning, commissioning, and live operations.
The position is full-time and includes 24×7 operations after go-live.
Responsibilities
- Support IT infrastructure activities across project and operational phases.
- Participate in 24×7 shift operations after go-live.
- Monitor and maintain servers, virtualization, storage, backup, application, and database infrastructure.
- Support integration between IT applications and PLC or automation systems.
- Follow escalation, change-management, cybersecurity, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Three to five years of experience in IT infrastructure or application support.
- Experience with VMware or virtualization environments and knowledge of Windows Server, Oracle, and Linux/RHEL.
- Ability to work in a 24×7 mission-critical environment with strong troubleshooting and incident-management skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary technical and functional teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in airport or air cargo environments is highly advantageous.
- Experience with material handling systems, warehouse or industrial automation, OT, logistics, or distribution is highly advantageous.
