Role Description
- The IT Director at EA Info is a part time, remote role responsible for overseeing the organization’s overall technology environment and ensuring secure, reliable operations.
- Day to day tasks include managing IT infrastructure and tools, coordinating IT operations, and monitoring system performance to support content creation and distribution.
- The IT Director develops and maintains IT strategy aligned with EA Info’s nonprofit mission, including technology roadmaps, budget recommendations, and vendor coordination.
- The role also involves implementing and maintaining network security controls, managing access and permissions, and establishing policies and procedures for data protection and compliance.
- Collaboration with leadership and contributors to evaluate new technologies, improve workflows, and support a scalable, sustainable IT environment is expected.
Qualifications
- Strong IT Management and IT Operations skills to oversee infrastructure, services, and day to day technology activities.
- Broad Information Technology knowledge to evaluate tools, support users, and integrate systems that enable remote collaboration.
- Experience with Network Security to design and maintain secure environments, manage access, and protect data.
- Ability to develop and execute IT Strategy that aligns technology decisions with organizational goals and nonprofit constraints.
- Relevant experience in leading IT initiatives in small or startup environments; nonprofit or mission driven experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with cloud based platforms, collaboration tools, and basic cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to non technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
