Leviton is seeking an IT Business Analyst to support business systems, reporting, analytics, and process improvement initiatives that strengthen operational efficiency and decision-making.
This role serves as a liaison between business functions and IT, translating operational needs into practical solutions that improve workflows and the user experience.
The ideal candidate can quickly learn business processes, understand data relationships, and support cross-functional initiatives.
• Business Analysis & Data Management
- Partner with departments and business units to understand operational challenges, goals, and system requirements.
- Develop a working understanding of business functions, data sources, reporting needs, and related systems.
- Analyze business data to identify trends, process gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Document business requirements, define reporting needs, and support data governance practices.
- Support data lifecycle processes to maintain data quality, consistency, and integrity.
• Tool Development & Analytics
- Develop and support tools, reports, dashboards, and workflow solutions using available business systems and platforms.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions with cross-functional teams.
• System Administration & Support
- Troubleshoot application, reporting, and system-related issues.
- Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, and business users to support system enhancements and new functionality.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
- Provide training and support to end-users.
- Communicate project status, risks, recommendations, and next steps.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on business systems, data tools, reporting capabilities, and emerging technologies.
- Develop a strong understanding of the end-to-end commercial process, from opportunity to quote to cash, and provide recommendations for process optimization.
- Identify, recommend, and support enhancements that improve automation, standardization, system performance, and user experience.
- Ability to understand business data, system relationships, and operational needs.
- Strong knowledge of automation, analytics, reporting, data governance, and process improvement concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical technical solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a structured, cross-functional environment.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and business teams.
- Exposure to data-driven business applications, reporting tools, or custom-built solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience or strong aptitude in business analysis, data analysis, and business systems
- Experience collaborating across departments to develop and implement solutions.
- Experience working with CRM, CPQ , ERP, or similar enterprise tools.
- Familiarity with data processing, analytics, or reporting workflows.
- Experience supporting applications in production environments, including basic monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
- Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, data analytics, business analysis, or related technologies preferred.
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Knowledge of SQL, Python for data analysis and automation.
