IT Automation & Platform Engineer

Role overview

Accountabilities

• Architect and improve the internal business systems ecosystem across SaaS, customer support, billing, HR, collaboration, and engineering tools.
• Design workflows and data synchronization across multiple SaaS platforms and business systems.
• Build automation tooling, internal services, CLI tools, dashboards, bots, and ChatOps integrations.
• Develop API-driven integrations using REST, GraphQL, OAuth, webhooks, SDKs, and integration frameworks.
• Automate CRM, billing synchronization, entitlement provisioning, onboarding, offboarding, and access management.
• Create self-service IT workflows, identity provisioning automation, and developer-friendly business-system APIs.
• Implement AI-assisted solutions for support, knowledge retrieval, ticket triage, SaaS workflows, and operational data analysis.
• Operate AWS and GCP infrastructure and administer endpoint security and device management solutions.
• Manage identity and access processes, including SSO, SAML, SCIM, identity lifecycle automation, and Zero Trust controls.
• Support security and compliance requirements involving ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
• Apply reliability engineering practices, monitoring, service objectives, and operational improvements to internal IT services.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant IT, systems, business systems, or platform engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a senior internal-systems automation role.
• Strong Python, Go, and Bash programming and scripting capabilities.
• Hands-on AWS and GCP experience, including VPCs, IAM, EC2, and S3.
• Strong experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, OAuth, webhooks, SaaS SDKs, and integration frameworks.
• Deep working knowledge of macOS and Linux.
• Practical experience with SSO, SAML, SCIM provisioning, identity lifecycle automation, and Zero Trust.
• Experience supporting security and compliance programs or audits involving ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR.
• Remote-first or globally distributed work experience is strongly preferred.
• AI automation familiarity is advantageous; Docker, Kubernetes, and SRE experience are desirable or a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, autonomy, ownership, initiative, and security-conscious judgment.
