- Prepare and generate accurate inpatient bills for discharged patients
- Review patient records, treatment details, medications, investigations, and procedures to ensure correct billing
- Verify insurance eligibility, approvals, and coverage before final bill preparation
- Maintain billing records and documentation in the Hospital Information System (HIS)
- Follow hospital billing policies, insurance regulations, and compliance standards
- Reconcile billing reports and assist in month end financial reporting
- Support audits by providing billing records and required documentation
- Escalate unresolved billing issues to the Billing Supervisor or Finance Manager
Requirements
- Experience in inpatient billing or healthcare billing
- Knowledge of insurance eligibility and coverage
- Familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
- Understanding of billing regulations and compliance
