Role Overview

Technical Implementation

• Implement software components and features based on provided designs, specifications, and guidance.
• Develop reliable, maintainable, and secure code within the assigned scope.
• Apply coding standards, patterns, and best practices in daily development work.
• Make basic technical decisions within assigned tasks and escalate questions when needed.

Delivery and Quality

• Translate assigned requirements and tasks into working software.
• Complete development work in alignment with sprint goals and delivery commitments.
• Contribute to task breakdowns and effort estimates and proactively raise risks or blockers.
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established DevOps, security, and quality practices.

Incident Support and Collaboration

• Troubleshoot defects and issues in development and production environments.
• Support corrective bug fixes and evolutive enhancements to existing solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, Product Owners, and Tech Leads.
• Learn the team's systems, tools, and technologies and contribute to shared ownership of outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C# and the .NET platform.
• Working knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
• Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps concepts.
• Familiarity with MQTT, OPC-UA, or similar device communication protocols.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools responsibly with accountability for code quality, security, and compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Assets

• Hands-on experience with IoT, industrial automation, edge computing, or device lifecycle management.
• Experience with Azure IoT Hub, DPS, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, or Azure Data Explorer.
• Experience supporting Windows-based machines.
• Familiarity with OTA software and firmware update mechanisms.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy controls for IoT environments.
