Role Description
Part-time remote role providing overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for a nonprofit.
The role coordinates programs and services, stakeholder communications, fundraising, donor relations, and organizational sustainability.
The schedule may include occasional evening or weekend commitments for events, meetings, or urgent organizational needs.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate nonprofit programs and services and oversee day-to-day operations.
- Manage communications with stakeholders, donors, partners, volunteers, and community contacts.
- Develop budgets, monitor financial health, and support compliance with nonprofit regulations and organizational policies.
- Guide volunteers or contractors and represent the organization in virtual meetings and community partnerships.
- Make decisions aligned with the organization’s mission and long-term sustainability.
Qualifications
- Experience in nonprofit leadership, governance, or management, with the ability to set strategic goals and oversee daily operations.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills for programs, events, and community initiatives.
- Financial literacy and basic budgeting skills, including familiarity with nonprofit finances and 501(c)(3) requirements.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills with military families, donors, partners, and volunteers.
- Proficiency with email, video conferencing, and shared documents, with the ability to work independently.
- Service-oriented commitment; experience with military, veteran, or first responder communities is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to pass required background checks and maintain ethics and confidentiality.
Work Arrangement
- The role is remote and part-time.
- Flexibility is expected for occasional evening or weekend commitments.
