Job Purpose
- The Associate will play a key role in supporting the origination, underwriting, execution, and monitoring of private credit fund investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in evaluating new private credit fund investment opportunities through financial modeling, credit analysis, GP underwriting and industry research.
- Support the preparation of investment committee materials and presentations.
- Coordinate due diligence processes, including engagement with third party advisors and legal counsel.
- Participate in fund structuring, terms negotiation and documentation review.
- Monitor fund investment performance, deployment, and strategy execution.
- Prepare quarterly and ad hoc reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support ongoing risk assessment and valuation processes.
- Track market trends and maintain relationships with private credit GPs, third party marketers, consultants, and investment banks.
- Assist in sourcing and screening co investments, direct and syndicated loan opportunities.
- Collaborate with fund operations, legal, and compliance teams to ensure smooth execution and monitoring of transactions.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in either private credit fund primaries or secondaries underwrite preferred; alternatively experience in private fund primaries or secondaries combined with some experience in private credit, investment banking, leveraged finance, or restructuring.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with credit documentation and structuring.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Experience working in a multi asset class investment firm.
- Exposure to regulatory frameworks relevant to private credit (e.g., ADGM, SCA).
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
