Role Overview
Remote full-time Inventory Planning Assistant / Specialist role supporting inventory planning, replenishment, forecasting, allocation, and inventory-performance management.
The role works with commercial and supply-chain teams to balance product availability with inventory efficiency and working-capital goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory plans across SKUs, categories, locations, warehouses, stores, and sales channels.
- Analyze demand, sales, lead times, supply constraints, inventory positions, stock coverage, and service levels.
- Develop replenishment recommendations and maintain safety stock, reorder points, minimum and maximum levels, and target stock parameters.
- Identify stockouts, overstock, excess, obsolete, slow-moving, and aging inventory and support mitigation or recovery initiatives.
- Coordinate with Demand Planning, Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse, Retail, Operations, and Finance teams.
- Prepare inventory reports, dashboards, variance analyses, replenishment schedules, risk registers, and management summaries.
- Support allocation, redistribution, cycle counts, reconciliation, stock adjustments, scenario planning, and inventory-risk mitigation.
- Improve forecasting inputs, replenishment methods, data quality, reporting, planning automation, and inventory policies.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in inventory planning, replenishment, supply-chain planning, demand planning, merchandise planning, warehouse operations, procurement, or inventory analysis.
- Strong knowledge of inventory planning, replenishment, stock control, safety stock, reorder points, turnover, service levels, and stock aging.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookups, formulas, forecasting, data analysis, and reporting.
- Familiarity with ERP, inventory-management, warehouse-management, supply-chain planning, demand-planning, or BI systems is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; Arabic is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote and internationally distributed environment.
Work Arrangement
- The position is fully remote and based in the United Arab Emirates.
