Role Overview
Oversee inventory operations and ensure stock is accurately recorded, properly stored, and available for business requirements.
Improve stock accuracy, reduce excess and obsolete inventory, and support efficient warehouse and supply chain operations.
Inventory Operations
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate inventory replenishment.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Monitor inventory KPIs, including turnover, aging, availability, accuracy, and carrying costs.
- Establish stock-control procedures and improve storage and handling processes.
Cross-Functional and Team Leadership
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, production, sales, logistics, and finance teams.
- Manage inventory teams and operational priorities.
- Identify actions for excess, slow-moving, damaged, or obsolete inventory.
- Reduce waste, losses, holding costs, and operational costs.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control, warehousing, replenishment, and supply chain processes.
