Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented **Inventory Controller** to manage inventory operations across our retail and distribution network in the United Arab Emirates.
The ideal candidate will have **at least 5 years of experience in inventory control** within a **retail and distribution environment**, and strong expertise in **ERP systems** (ODOO and SAP) and capable of maintaining accurate inventory records, inventory KPIs, minimizing variances, and optimizing stock efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventory levels across warehouses and retail outlets to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Record and track all inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, returns, and adjustments using **ERP systems (ODOO and SAP)**.
- Conduct regular **physical inventory counts** and **cycle counts**, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and generate timely inventory reports for decision-making.
- Analyze stock trends to identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess items and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate closely with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to align stock movement with business needs.
- Develop and enforce inventory control policies and standard operating procedures.
- Support the monthly and annual inventory closing process with accurate stock valuations and reconciliations.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance inventory visibility and control.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports including aging, turnover, and variance analyses for management.
Mandatory Requirements
- **Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management/control** within a **retail and distribution company in the UAE**.
- **Familiarity with inventory KPIs and best practices in inventory optimization.**
- Proven expertise with **ERP systems**, especially **ODOO and SAP**.
- Strong understanding of inventory operations, Inventory KPIs, including stock flow, reconciliation, and data integrity.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting/BI tools.
- Experience handling multi-location inventory structures.
- Familiarity with inventory KPIs and best practices in inventory optimization.
