About the Role
UMC seeks an Inventory Control Specialist to perform supply clerical tasks including inventory analysis, stock level adjustments, and requisition processing. Requires high school diploma and two years of purchasing/inventory control experience.

Responsibilities
- Performs responsible supply clerical tasks including maintaining and analyzing inventory and stock records.
- Makes recommendations for adjustments of stock levels.
- Initiates requisitions for replenishment of supplies.
- Checks merchandise received against purchase order descriptions.
- Edits requisitions and processes reports of goods received.
- Conducts periodic inventories of supplies.
- Processes and maintains records showing present location, transfer or disposal of property or goods.
- Schedules or coordinates the delivery of supplies or equipment.
Requirements
- Equivalent to graduation from high school
- Two (2) years experience in purchasing and/or inventory control
- Must demonstrate knowledge of automated inventory tracking systems
- Some positions may require a current forklift certification
- Knowledge of methods and practices of receiving, storing and issuing materials
- Knowledge of inventory control record keeping practices and procedures
- Ability to lift and maneuver equipment and materials weighing up to 100 pounds with proper equipment
