Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- include the following with other duties as assigned:
- Read master schedule, work orders, pick lists, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Processes material and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Makes new bin boxes and labels as needed.
- Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated room.
- Fills work orders or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
- Kits up materials and loose parts as required by project.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
- Reviews consumables and informs Stores Lead when materials run low.
- Informs Stores Lead whenever materials run close to expiration.
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for easy future retrieval.
- Uses computer to enter records. Inputs pick list worksheets into system so that inventory is adjusted properly and shortages are effectively identified and tracked.
- Other duties as assigned
