Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry & System Updates (~70% of the role):
- Accurately enter and process daily inventory transactions within SAP.
- Process inventory receivings, stock adjustments, and transfers to support daily yard and manufacturing operations.
- Facilitate and record Return to Vendor (RTV) transactions and handle customer disputes/chargebacks (e.g., Home Depot dispute resolution).
- Inventory Control & Yard Support:
- Coordinate and record routine cycle counts; investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies between physical stock and SAP records.
- Serve as administrative support for the yard team, addressing daily inventory queries, order status, and material tracking needs.
- Purchasing & Invoice Processing:
- Perform PO (Purchase Order) tracking, matching, and closing.
- Complete VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) processing and invoice verification to support plant accounts payable flow.
- General Administration:
- Maintain clean, organized documentation for shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Assist plant management with ad-hoc administrative or operational support tasks as required.
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental protocols.
Working Conditions
Standard office environment with periodic communication with plant floor personnel and shipping/receiving yards.
Occasional plant visits or physical yard audits as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework in business, supply chain, logistics, or administration is a plus.
- 1–2 years of experience in an inventory, data entry, yard clerk, or administrative role within a manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution environment (wood/lumber/building products industry experience is a bonus).
- Technical Skills:
- SAP experience is required (or strong familiarity with an equivalent enterprise ERP system).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite (considered an asset).
- Familiarity with POs, vendor invoicing/VIM, and shipping/receiving documentation.
- Core Competencies:
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong data-entry speed.
- Dependable with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively bridge communication between Sales, Plant Managers, Logistics, and Procurement.
- Ability to work reliably on-site Monday through Friday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
