Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of one virtual training workshop on Combating Trafficking in Persons for the Purpose of Sexual Exploitation
  • Preparation and delivery of one virtual training workshop on Identification, protection, assistance and referral procedures for victims of trafficking in persons
  • Preparation and delivery of one virtual training workshop on Dealing with Vulnerable Groups in Cross Border Contexts
  • Preparation and delivery of one virtual training workshop on Combating Exploitative Begging
  • Preparation and delivery of one virtual training workshop on The Role of the Media in Addressing Cases of Trafficking in Persons
  • Review and Finalization of self learning programmes (two courses) aimed at raising awareness on combating trafficking in persons
  • Preparation and delivery of one virtual training workshop on International and National Legal Frameworks to Combat Trafficking in Persons: Identification and Referral
  • Review and Finalization of Protocol on School Based Reporting of Trafficking in Persons
  • Preparation and delivery of one virtual training workshop on Identification, Support and Reintegration of Victims of Trafficking in Persons
  • Preparation and delivery of one virtual training workshop on Tourism, Religious Seasons, and Groups Vulnerable to Trafficking in Persons
  • Preparation and delivery of one virtual training workshop on ICAO Guidelines on Combating Trafficking in Persons at Airports

Qualifications/special skills

  • An Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in the fields of law, criminology or other related social sciences is required
  • At least seven (7) years of professional experience in crime prevention, law enforcement, prosecution, criminal justice, international relations, international criminal law and/or related areas, is required
  • Practical experience in conducting legal assessments and research in the area of trafficking in person and in the delivery of relevant training is required
  • Knowledge of the legal framework concerning TiP, particularly the UNTOC and UN TiP Protocol, Islamic law, in addition to familiarity with the Arab regional anti human trafficking instrument, is desirable
  • Working experience in the GCC and/or MENA regions is desirable
  • Previous work experience with the United Nations is desirable

Languages

  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required
  • Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage
