International Commodity Trader – Metallic Minerals

Overview

• Trade physical commodities including manganese ore, nickel ore/concentrate, bauxite, iron ore, chromite, and gold in international markets.
• Analyze global supply-demand fundamentals, price benchmarks, freight trends, and geopolitical factors impacting metallic mineral markets.
• Develop new sourcing channels and sales markets; negotiate spot and term contracts with international counterparties.
• Structure and negotiate commercial terms including pricing formulas, quality specifications, Incoterms, volumes, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
• Manage end-to-end trade execution including contracts, logistics coordination, shipping, documentation, insurance, and final settlement.
• Monitor and manage market price risk, credit exposure, counterparty risk, and operational risk; implement hedging strategies where applicable.
• Collaborate closely with logistics, operations, finance, legal, and compliance teams to ensure smooth trade execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mining companies, smelters, refiners, traders, brokers, and shipping providers.
• Track trade performance and prepare P&L analysis, market reports, and management updates.
• Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, sanctions, ESG requirements, and internal risk policies.
