About the Role

A leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Internal Medicine Consultant for its clinical team.

The role focuses on comprehensive adult medical care, inpatient management, and assessment and treatment of complex medical conditions and comorbidities.

The consultant will care for adult patients across inpatient and outpatient settings and collaborate with medical subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive consultant-level care for adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Lead inpatient rounds, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and discharge coordination.
  • Manage complex comorbidities including diabetes, hypertension, infections, and cardiac and renal conditions.
  • Coordinate subspecialist referrals and continuity of care across outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Supervise junior doctors and support evidence-based clinical protocols and best practices.
  • Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate electronic medical record documentation, medication safety, and compliance with UAE healthcare standards.

Requirements

  • Applicants should hold a recognized Internal Medicine specialist qualification.
  • Accepted qualification examples include American Board of Internal Medicine, UK CCT, MRCP, FRCP, European Board or national specialist registration, Canadian Royal College Certification, Australian FRACP, Arab Board, MD, DNB, FCPS, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Candidates are subject to UAE licensing and facility credentialing requirements.

  • Excellent communication skills with culturally diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
