About the Role
Lead strategic internal communications that support employees, leaders, corporate initiatives, and organizational priorities.
Ensure clear, consistent messaging aligned with corporate communications standards while strengthening employee engagement and information flow.
Report to the Manager, Corporate Communications, within the Head Office Communications and Community Engagement team.
Term and Salary
The position is regular, full-time, with 70 hours worked bi-weekly.
The excluded Band 2 salary range starts at $73,784 to $92,230.
The position is under exclusion review and may become unionized or remain excluded subject to approval.
Location
The role is based at the Vancouver Head Office with a hybrid schedule of two days per week in the office.
Occasional overnight travel to communities within the area of a CLBC office may be required.

Lead internal communications strategies and plans for organizational priorities, corporate initiatives, projects, and senior management committee work.

Develop announcements, staff messages, briefing notes, FAQs, intranet content, and other clear and engaging communications materials.
Advise leaders on messaging, tone, timing, channels, and communications approaches for complex, sensitive, and high-impact issues.
Support communications related to employee and labour relations, restructuring, organizational changes, and bargaining-related matters.
Establish communications standards, guidelines, approval processes, and best practices, and review content for clarity and policy alignment.
Partner with change management teams, project leads, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams on transformation and employee-focused initiatives.
Provide day-to-day internal communications support through drafting, editing, content development, and collaboration with communications colleagues.
Provide informal mentorship, guidance, and knowledge sharing to strengthen internal communications capability.
What You Will Bring
Diploma or bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
At least 5 years of direct experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related communications role.
Experience developing and implementing communications strategies, plans, and materials for initiatives and organizational change.
Experience advising leaders on communications approaches for complex or sensitive issues.
Knowledge of internal communications principles, audience-focused messaging, channel selection, and organizational communications planning.
Strong relationship-building, written and verbal communication, organizational, and adaptability skills.
A professional communications designation, public sector experience, and change management training or experience are assets.
Additional Requirements
Possession of a Class 5 driver's license is required.
