Key Responsibilities
- Lead internal audit engagements from planning through execution and reporting.
- Develop risk-based audit plans and perform enterprise-wide risk assessments.
- Evaluate governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
- Review audit workpapers, findings, and reports for professional and internal standards compliance.
- Lead engagements covering internal audit, ICOFR, ERM, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify control deficiencies and recommend improvements to controls and operational efficiency.
- Maintain client relationships as a trusted advisor and primary engagement contact.
- Mentor and supervise junior team members and provide technical and performance guidance.
- Support proposals, client acquisition, retention, and wider business development.
- Monitor UAE regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging risks.
- Promote data analytics, automation, and technology-enabled audit techniques.
Requirements
- CA, ACCA, CIA, CPA, or an equivalent professional certification is mandatory.
- 6–8 years of Internal Audit or Risk Advisory experience is required.
- At least 2 years of UAE experience is required.
- Experience leading audit engagements and managing client relationships is required.
- Knowledge of audit standards, risk assessment, governance frameworks, and control testing is required.
- Understanding of CBUAE, DFSA, ADGM, SCA/CMA, and other relevant regulations is required.
- Financial services, insurance, FinTech, oil and gas, or diversified-industry experience is advantageous.
- Analytical, report writing, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills are required.
- The ability to manage multiple engagements and deliver projects on time is required.
- A business development mindset and ability to support practice expansion are required.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
