Key Responsibilities
- Lead internal audit engagements from planning through execution and reporting.
- Develop risk-based audit plans and perform enterprise-wide risk assessments.
- Evaluate governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
- Review audit workpapers, findings, and reports against professional standards and internal methodologies.
- Lead work covering internal audit, ICOFR, ERM, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify control deficiencies and business risks, then provide practical recommendations.
- Maintain client relationships and serve as the primary engagement contact.
- Mentor and supervise junior team members while providing technical guidance and feedback.
- Support business development, proposals, client acquisition, and retention.
- Track UAE regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging risks.
- Promote data analytics, automation, and technology-enabled audit techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CA, ACCA, CIA, CPA, or an equivalent professional certification is mandatory.
- 6–8 years of Internal Audit or Risk Advisory experience, including at least 3 years in the UAE.
- Experience leading audit engagements and managing client relationships.
- Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, risk assessment, governance, and control testing.
- Understanding of CBUAE, DFSA, ADGM, SCA/CMA, and other UAE regulatory frameworks.
- Financial services, insurance, FinTech, or diversified-industry experience is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, report writing, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements, lead teams, and meet deadlines.
- Business development mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
