Zions has an excellent opportunity available for a Quantitative Modeling Analyst intern to join our Corporate Quantitative Analytics group responsible for model development .
Please create a cover letter listing your degree and describing your skills and experience. Key responsibilities for this position include the following:
Assist in the design and development of statistical/machine learning models to support various initiatives utilizing predictive modeling
Construct and clean datasets in preparation for analysis and use in building forecasting models
Perform accuracy and quality checks to test model forecast results
Write documentation that explains the process used in developing models
Create summary reports that highlight forecasting methods and results
Help prepare presentations for senior management
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with one or more of the following statistical software tools: Python, SQL, R, SAS
- Knowledge of statistical and econometric modeling methods, as well as machine learning
- Understanding of accounting, financial statements, and banking products is a plus.
- Proficiency in working with large data sets is a plus.
- Experience with technologies such Google Cloud Platform, GPUs, and Git is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
