Intern – Construction Management / Civil Engineering Location: Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC (On-Site, Project Job Trailer)

ECC is seeking a motivated junior or senior undergraduate student (minimum 3.0 GPA preferred) pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field to join our team at Camp Lejeune.

This on-site internship offers hands-on experience supporting field operations, quality management, project administration, and construction execution activities on the construction of an operations and maintenance facility, warehouse, and associated site paving improvements.

Position Details

Hours: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week

• Duration: Summer 2027

Compensation: $24.00/hour
Reporting to: Project Manager
Project-Based Position: Daily attendance at the project site is expected
Security Requirement: Must be eligible to obtain military base access
Driving Requirement: Intern may be required to operate a vehicle on the project site

Learning Opportunities

Interns will gain exposure to facility construction, warehouse development, site paving operations, project scheduling, quality control procedures, subcontractor management, and military construction project delivery .

Participants will receive mentorship from experienced construction professionals and develop a comprehensive understanding of field-based project management.

Responsibilities

Support Project Manager, Superintendent, and Quality Control staff with daily construction operations

Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a field-based construction environment
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

ECC's targeted hourly rate for this position is $24.00 per hour .

Actual pay may vary based on education, experience, qualifications, and business needs.
