Intermediate Structural Engineer

Qualifications

• Your Capabilities and Credentials
• General knowledge and application of structural design codes, standards, and applicable building codes (ex. OBC, A23.3, S16, S304, O86).
• General understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
• General knowledge of structural systems, means & methods of construction, and materials.
• Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
• General understanding of structural engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of Component Design Software and Building Analysis Software. Experience with SAFE, SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, and/ or MASS preferred.
• A self-starter who is innovative and enjoys working in a team environment.
• Education and Experience Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Structural/ Civil Engineering from an accredited university required. Professional Engineer in good standing with PEO preferred. 5+ years of relevant experience in consulting within a buildings structural team preferred
• Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may require travel and include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
