Intermediate Structural Engineer

We currently have an opening for an Intermediate Structural Engineer, based in our Kelowna office. In this role you will be responsible for bridge design, inspection and rehabilitation projects. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team active on structural projects with a focus on the bridge sector.

Be responsible for undertaking a variety of bridge projects for a diverse client base including the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, BC Ministry of Forest Lands and Natural Resource Operations, municipalities, and private sector clients.

Participate in the delivery of all aspects of bridge projects ranging from conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of bridges; inspection and management of bridge inventories; assessment and rehabilitation of bridges; and preparation and administration of contracts.

Design and analysis of new and existing structures, condition assessments, project management, participation in business development, and preparation of proposals.

Inspection and assessment of existing bridge structures for municipal clients.

Design of retaining structures.

Tender package preparation including developing supplementary technical specifications for use with the MMCD contract document framework.

This position may be client facing, and occasional travel and site reviews may be required.

Undergraduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.

Registered as a P.Eng. with EGBC or another Canadian regulator.

7+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering.

Experience with design, specifications, scheduling, cost estimating, tendering, construction, and inspections of bridges.
