Support the financial health and performance of JOEY Restaurant Group restaurants and corporate operations.
Take ownership of financial reporting and reconciliation processes while supporting the Accounting Manager.
Partner with business leaders to provide financial clarity, accountability, and operational support.
Workplace
- This is an in-office role based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
- The position is part of the Corporate Office Finance team.
Compensation
- Annual compensation is $70,000–$90,000 per year.
- The salary range depends on skills and work experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly financial results, rankings, and period-end financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, gift card accounts, balance sheets, general ledgers, and intercompany adjustments.
- Respond to restaurant leaders' financial and operational inquiries.
- Support year-end working papers, corporate tax filings, external audits, and government remittances.
- Improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Support and mentor junior Finance team members.
Requirements
- Have 3–5 years of experience in an accounting or finance environment.
- Be enrolled in the CPA Program or actively working toward completion.
- Demonstrate advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and strong analytical capability.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Hospitality or multi-unit operations experience is an asset.
