Intermediate Environmental Planner/Project Manager

An exciting opportunity exists for intermediate (5–10 years) Environmental Planners/Project Managers to join Stantec’s Assessment and Permitting team within the Environmental Services practice.

Your focus will be delivering expertise to the Oil and Gas Sector.

In this role, you will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team delivering environmental planning, approvals, and permitting expertise for a diverse range of Oil and Gas clients.

As a key contributor, you will lead or support the day‐to‐day delivery of environmental assessment and regulatory approvals, working closely with clients, agencies, and technical specialists.

• Manage project tasks and deliverables and assist with implementing the environmental assessment and permitting process as it applies to projects.
• Communicate and liaise with a variety of project stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, members of the public, and internal multi-disciplinary teams.
• Write and coordinate proposals and reports tailored to specific project requirements.
• Manage project tasks and deliverables related to environmental components and/or Ontario Energy Board environmental studies.
• Conduct desktop studies to support regulatory requirements for various assignments.
• Develop and implement consultation programs with a focus on diverse stakeholders.
• Communicate and liaise effectively with project stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, regulatory agencies, Indigenous communities, and the public.
• Work with a group of professionals across Canada, focusing on environmental assessments, permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Manage project tasks and deliverables and assist with implementing the environmental assessment and permitting process as it applies to Oil and Gas projects.
