As the Intermediate Engineer – Process Performance and Operational Readiness you will support optimization, operational readiness, start-up, and performance improvement projects in the mineral processing and extractive metallurgy sectors.
Reporting to the Director, Process Performance and Optimization and working closely with senior engineers, you will contribute to technical audits, performance analyses, operational readiness plans, test campaigns, and the development of tools and methodologies that improve industrial facility performance, while collaborating with client-site teams across operations, maintenance, engineering, automation, and commissioning as needed.
Responsibilities
Participate in performance audits of mineral processing plants, including process data analysis, mass, water, and metallurgical balances.
Develop, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), performance dashboards, and statistical process data to support informed decision-making.
Identify process improvement opportunities, reduce operational variability, and contribute to circuit stability, process stabilization, and performance improvement studies.
Support industrial tests, sampling campaigns, performance testing, start-up, ramp-up, and operations performance reviews.
Participate in the development and audit of operational readiness plans, including ORP audits, organizational readiness assessments, and client workshops.
Contribute to the development of SOPs, operational documentation, training plans, and competency matrices.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical, chemical, process, mining engineering, or a related discipline; member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible for membership.
5 to 10 years of experience in mineral processing, extractive metallurgy, or industrial processes, including the operation, optimization, commissioning, or continuous improvement of industrial facilities; Operational Readiness experience is an asset.
Good knowledge of mineral processing, mass balances, data analysis, and performance indicators.
Excellent communication, technical writing, and teamwork skills.
Availability for regular travel to industrial and mining sites, with a strong commitment to health, safety, and the environment (HSE) and a proactive approach to safe interventions aligned with best practices.
Proficiency in French is mandatory. Proficiency in English is also required in order to communicate effectively with internal clients and partners located outside of Quebec.
