Perkins&Will is looking for an Interior Designer II with 3-5+ years of experience to join their New York studio. The role involves preparing contract documents, creating presentation materials, selecting finishes and furniture, and contributing to programming and space planning.

Responsibilities
- Prepare contract documents including floor plans, details, reflected ceiling plans, mill work design, furniture layouts, finish plans, and specifications
- Assist in creating presentation materials and models for client presentations
- Manipulate basic design elements such as spatial layout, color, light, texture, and scale
- Research manufacturers and select colors, finishes, materials, lighting, and furniture for interior application
- Contribute to programming and space planning analysis and provide area calculations
- Develop graphic communication skills to illustrate design concepts
- Self check work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and document compliance
- Participate in design reviews, charettes, and pin ups
Requirements
- 3 5+ years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in interiors, architecture or related discipline
- Intermediate Revit proficiency
- Functional knowledge of 2D/3D production software
- LEED GA within 6 months of hire
- Professional Accreditation in one area of Living Design (e.g., LEED AP, WELL AP, etc.)

Your Role: Interior Designer II
- Years of Experience Required: 3 5+ years.
- Uses enhanced knowledge of project complexity to contribute to team success.
- Exhibits understanding of interior design concepts and integration of architectural design process.
Common And Baseline Responsibilities
- Prepares contract documents including floor plans, details, reflected ceiling plans, mill work design, furniture layouts, finish plans, material and furniture specifications, and schedules.
- Assists in creating presentation materials and models for client presentations.
- Manipulates basic design elements such as spatial layout, color, light, texture, and scale.
- Researches manufacturers and selects colors, finishes, materials, lighting, and furniture for interior application.
- Continues to grow in knowledge of project scope, budgets, and deliverables.
- Contributes to programming and space planning analysis and provides area calculations.
- Develops graphic communication skills to illustrate design concepts.
- Uses creative approach to complete tasks within scope of schedule and budget.
- Self checks work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and document compliance.
- Expresses curiosity about the world of design, materials, and products.
- Takes increasing ownership on tasks within project teams and studio activities.
- Participates in design reviews, charettes, and pin ups.

- Years of experience: 3 5+.
- BIM.
- Building codes and guidelines as applicable (ADA, FGI, etc).
- Basic knowledge in programming, planning, and site analysis.

Salary Range Information
- Annual pay salary range for this position in New York is between $73,000.00 and $93,200.00.
