Interior Designer Engineer

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise interior design and fit-out works during construction.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor workmanship, materials, and construction activities.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and samples.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor progress and provide technical support to the Resident Engineer and supervision team.
• Ensure interior finishing works meet quality standards and client expectations.
• Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions.
• Attend site meetings and report on progress, quality, and risks.
• Verify completed works and participate in snagging, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Ensure compliance with authority regulations, safety requirements, and project procedures.
• Review contractor method statements and support close-out inspections and documentation reviews.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, interior architecture, architecture, or a related discipline.
• At least eight years of experience in interior design and site supervision, preferably on large-scale building projects.
• Previous supervision or construction management experience in the Middle East, preferably Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of interior finishes, fit-out methods, materials, and detailing.
• Experience reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with international standards, Saudi building regulations, and quality assurance procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and relevant design or project management software.
• Excellent communication, coordination, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Fluent English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
