Work Arrangement
- The position is fully remote in the United Arab Emirates.
- The stated employment type is full-time.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop design strategies, briefs, criteria, standards, material requirements, palettes, specifications, schedules, and design libraries.
- Lead concept, schematic, detailed design, construction-stage support, installation, fit-out, snagging, defects resolution, and handover.
- Manage designers, architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, specialist vendors, budgets, resources, risks, schedules, and dependencies.
- Coordinate interiors with architecture, structure, MEP, lighting, acoustics, technology, fire protection, security, and specialist systems.
- Review drawings, specifications, schedules, BIM models, shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, prototypes, substitutions, and technical proposals.
- Manage design reviews, workshops, presentations, approvals, changes, requests for information, technical queries, client comments, and stakeholder coordination.
- Support procurement, tendering, value engineering, cost optimization, material approvals, and long-lead interior item tracking.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor implementation of approved design solutions, quality, constructability, accessibility, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare reports, presentations, progress updates, decision papers, recommendations, design registers, material logs, approval records, and issue trackers.
- Mentor interior designers and junior professionals while promoting creativity, collaboration, innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related discipline is required.
- Significant experience managing interior design projects and leading multidisciplinary teams and consultants is required.
- Strong knowledge of interior design principles, space planning, materials, finishes, joinery, furniture, lighting, specialist installations, and construction detailing is required.
- Experience with construction documentation, fit-out, procurement, fabrication, installation, value engineering, material substitutions, and design optimization is required.
- The candidate must be able to review drawings, specifications, schedules, samples, mock-ups, and BIM models.
- Strong project-management, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills are required.
- Proficiency with relevant CAD, BIM, rendering, presentation, and design-management software is required.
- Experience in luxury, hospitality, mixed-use, commercial, residential, retail, workplace, or large-scale developments is highly desirable.
- Professional design or architectural certification is highly desirable, and sustainable-material knowledge is advantageous.
Technical Scope
- Interior design may cover hospitality, commercial interiors, residential development, retail, workplace design, and high-end fit-out projects.
- The role includes space planning, mood boards, material palettes, furniture strategies, finishes, fixtures, equipment, lighting, accessories, joinery, and decorative elements.
- The role supports BIM and digital coordination, sustainability, responsible material selection, durability, resource efficiency, lifecycle considerations, accessibility, and user experience.
Performance Measures
Performance includes on-time package delivery, design quality, technical compliance, client approval, coordination effectiveness, consultant performance, and design review completion.
Additional measures include budget and schedule performance, value engineering, procurement readiness, material and mock-up approvals, construction quality, design-intent retention, sustainability, accessibility, and handover completeness.
