Interior Design Manager

The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the interior design team from concept development through site execution.
• Manage concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction documentation workflows.
• Present design proposals and manage client expectations and deliverable alignment.
• Develop and review concepts, space plans, FF&E schemes, material selections, and 3D visualizations.
• Oversee construction drawing packages and specifications and review them for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate interior design with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Manage clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors through procurement, production, and installation.
• Manage programmes, milestones, budgets, resources, and technical or design issue resolution.
• Track design trends, materials, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Maintain project documentation, approvals, specifications, and as-built records.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is required.
• A postgraduate degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 18 years of interior design experience in a high-profile design consultancy is required.
• At least 8 years of relevant consultancy experience in the UAE is required.
• A strong portfolio of completed projects and experience delivering complex projects are required.
• Experience with high-rise, mixed-use, residential, commercial, hospitality, educational, and luxury developments is preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE and international UK and US building codes and standards is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D visualization tools is required.
• Excellent communication, presentation, client-facing, leadership, time management, and organizational skills are required.
