About the District Attorney's Office
The Kings County District Attorney's Office develops prosecutorial strategies intended to promote safety, fairness, and justice in Brooklyn.
The Intelligence Analyst will work in the office's Digital Evidence Lab.
Role Overview
Under general supervision and with latitude for independent initiative and judgment, the Intelligence Analyst analyzes digital evidence and supports complex investigations.
The role includes preparing investigative materials, reporting criminal activity, training colleagues, and providing courtroom testimony.
Responsibilities
- Analyze video surveillance, cell phone records, device extraction reports, and open-source intelligence from social media.
- Create video compilations, presentations, geolocation maps, and other visual aids for investigations and court proceedings.
- Testify before grand juries or at trial about analyses and analyst work products.
- Report daily criminal activity across Brooklyn to office leadership and attorneys.
- Support training on intelligence-gathering techniques and digital evidence protocols.
- Assist with short- and long-term complex investigations and attend required professional training.
