Role Overview

InnovationTeam is seeking an APIGEE API Developer/Consultant for its API Management Development Team.

The team focuses on full-cycle implementation of APIs exposed on the organization's API management platform.

The role works with designers, developers, architects, and project managers on internal and external APIs.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of systems integration experience, including API development and hands-on API management solutions experience.
  • Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Experience implementing enterprise-level APIs with APIGEE for large-scale organizations.
  • Extensive experience with APIGEE policies for security, throttling, and data transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of API security, including Basic Auth, OAuth2 flows, and mutual SSL authentication.
  • Experience with JavaScript scripts used within APIGEE.
  • Strong API design experience, including writing API specifications and design documents.
  • Understanding of APIGEE on-premise and cloud infrastructure and components.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs, REST, JSON, SOAP, and XML.
  • Clear understanding of OpenAPI or Swagger specifications.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps, CI, and CD.

Additional Experience

  • Previous experience with design and development governance principles and guidelines.
  • Previous experience with enterprise integration patterns and frameworks.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with APIGEE, SoftwareAG, IBM, or similar API management tools.
  • Familiarity with TM Forum OpenAPIs or similar industry-wide OpenAPI specifications.
  • Familiarity with the APIGEE on-premise developer portal and APIGEE multi-tenancy.
  • Familiarity with other Google Cloud products and technologies.

Workplace Expectation

  • On-site availability in KSA is required.

Expectations and Responsibilities

  • Work with designers and developers on internal and external APIs within projects.
  • Participate in solution discussions with designers and architects.
  • Participate in daily technical status meetings and provide project status updates.
  • Support end-to-end testing for implementation compliance with design.
