Key skills for this role
Keeping our bakeries one step ahead, you'll create category-level production schedules through our Integrated Production Planning system.
You'll be responsible for hourly schedules across days 2-11 and daily schedules from days 12-42, making sure everything is in the right place at the right time.
Working closely with our manufacturing and despatch teams, Customer Forecasting, Inbound Materials Planning and PCT colleagues, you'll help make sure customer demand is met through effective planning, scheduling and execution.
In short, you'll keep our plans rolling smoothly, so our products can too.
Create, deliver and communicate an effective weekly, forecasted manufacturing plan in line with Company guidelines.
Create a daily schedule plan for use in manufacturing in line with Company guidelines.
Check and upload the baking schedule into SAP and the transfer of the production plan to the Primary Control Tower.
Working with the other planners and PCT monitor the execution of the plan with intervention when appropriate to ensure optimisation of order fulfilment.
Effective communications are maintained with key contacts (customer team, PCT, Operations)
Generate and distribute any business required reports.
Excellent IT skills, including SAP Supply Planning capability and advanced spreadsheet skills, with confidence using pivot tables, lookups and data analysis tools. Knowledge of Access databases would be a bonus .
A strong understanding of production planning, including maintenance, changeovers and labour constraints.
Experience managing capacity across multiple sites and product categories is essential.
