Roles and Responsibilities
- Process claims for medical services, interview patients to obtain medical histories, and review medical records for accuracy.
- Review new insurance policy applications to confirm that all required information has been provided.
- Verify applicant identities using driver's license or Social Security card numbers against existing records.
- Process claim payments by collecting insurance coverage and policy information and submitting claims to insurance companies.
- Update customer billing information, mailing addresses, phone numbers, and other details in computer databases.
- Process new client applications by collecting personal details, auto insurance needs, and other relevant information.
- Answer customer questions about insurance coverage, exclusions, policy details, and claims processing status.
- Provide customer service by email and telephone and assist with products, payments, accounts, and claims.
