Instrumentation Technician

Job Purpose

Education and Experience

• A three-year diploma in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering is required.
• Five years of experience maintaining PLC, SCADA, field instruments, and associated instrumentation systems is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain PLC, SCADA, and other instrumentation systems.
• Calibrate instruments, fire alarm systems, and all types of display units.
• Maintain daily activity records in the daily logbook.
• Conduct toolbox talks with area technicians and helpers before preventive or corrective maintenance.
• Originate permits to work and provide detailed work descriptions in permit forms.
• Work with HSE personnel to identify hazards and determine required controls.
• Complete permit form sections before submitting the form to the Permit Issuer.
• Maintain HSE accountability and comply with QatarEnergy life-saving rules.
• Perform other duties assigned by management according to operational needs.

Additional Requirements

• The technician must be physically fit to work.
• Flexibility to work as required by operational needs is stated.
• English proficiency is preferred.

Project Duration

• The project is scheduled through 30 June 2028 and may be extended according to the contract.

Compensation

• Pay is QAR 4,000 per month.
