Instructor- Practical Nurse (Casual)

Provide quality instruction in lab and/or clinical courses.

Select effective instructional strategies and create lesson plans to support diverse learner needs.

Support curriculum development and ensure course content remains current and relevant.

Evaluate learner performance and provide clear feedback to support growth and progress.

Facilitate positive learning experiences across face-to-face, blended, online, and clinical settings.

Support learners in navigating challenges, accommodations, and access to student services.

Participate in college and program events, including orientations, graduations, and community outreach.

Maintain strong professional relationships with health care stakeholders, employers, and advisory groups.

Responsibilities encompass all faculty professional duties related to instructional delivery, including teaching preparation; program and course development; evaluation; student support such as remediation and consultation; participation in special projects and College committees; and other related duties as assigned.

Diploma in Nursing (LPN or RN).

Current, unrestricted CLHA or CRNA Practice Permit.

At least 4 years of recent acute care nursing experience.

CPR Health Care Provider Level certification.

Up-to-date immunizations and a Police Information Check (vulnerable sector included).

Ability to teach to full scope of practice in compliance with government requirements for Practical Nurse facilitators.
