Degree Level: Total Annual Pay Associate Degree $65,000.00 Bachelor Degree $67,500.00 Master Degree $70,000.00 Doctorate Degree $72,500.00 All degree levels may qualify for a $9,000.00 annual stipend. Position Summary: The Nursing Instructor position is a full-time faculty appointment (9 to 10-month contract). Responsibilities include developing nursing curriculum and delivering instructional content in the classroom. The role also involves serving as nursing faculty in clinical settings, providing both direct and indirect supervision to students as they apply nursing clinical skills and make decisions. This position reports to the Director of Nursing. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide instruction for assigned Nursing courses and assist in coordinating adjunct faculty teaching in Nursing, if applicable. The standard teaching workload for regular full-time faculty consists of 15 semester workload hours, or the equivalent, per semester. Develop course syllabi in accordance with ENMU-Roswell’s standardized syllabus format. Supervise and direct students in clinical environments, which may include on-campus clinical rotations, simulations, or off-campus direct client care clinical rotations. Maintain a minimum of ten posted office hours per week. Keep accurate attendance records and follow institutional procedures for reporting student grades. Grades must reflect students’ demonstrated achievement and performance according to the course syllabus. Create a learning environment that fosters student engagement and motivation. Develop and administer assignments, quizzes, and examinations that align with course objectives and comprehensively assess student learning. Provide academic advising to nursing students. Minimum Job Requirements

Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico in good standing or a current unencumbered compact state RN license (must obtain New Mexico RN license within 90 days of employment). Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (must enroll in an accredited Master’s in Nursing program by the end of the first academic year of employment). Minimum of two years of nursing experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care or long-term care setting. Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Administrative and/or supervisory experience. Experience in Nursing education. Experience with educational learning management systems (LMS).

Support Paid Time Off During the first year of service, full time non-exempt (hourly) employees accrue 7 hours of annual leave and 7 hours of medical leav e per month. The second year of service, full time non-exempt employees accrue 10 hours of annual leave and 10 hours of medical leave per month. The third and subsequent years of service, full time non-exempt employees accrue 14.66 hours of annual leav e and 14 hours of medical leave per month. Employees must work for the University for three months before they are eligible to use annual leave. Leave accruals will be pro-rated for part time employees. Professional/ At-will Paid Time Off Full time exempt employees accrue 14.66 hours of annual leave and 14 hours of medical leave per month. Employees must work for the University for three months before they are eligible to use annual leave. Leave accruals will be pro-rated for part time employees. Employee Educational Assistance Plan Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell offers a tuition waiver for permanent, full-time and part-time regular employees and retirees. Employees can take up to 9 credit hours on the Roswell campus. Their IRS dependents are not restricted in the number of credit hours they can take. For detailed information reference 40.9 Educational Assistance Program. For classes offered by ENMU in Portales, the Portales campus will waive some tuition for either the employee or spouse, dependents, as defined by the I.R.S., are not eligible for tuition waivers for classes taken through the Portales campus. Additional course fees will still need to be paid by the employee. As per policies and procedures Adjuncts and Temporary employees are not eligible to recieve the tutiion wavier.
